KENNETH K-BOBBY EDGAR
Emmy Award-winning hairstylist and fashion designer Kenneth “K-Bobby” Edgar was born in Jamaica, where his early interest in women’s fashion clashed with his father’s traditional views. Supported by his forward-thinking mother, he began designing dresses at age 12, creating gowns for weddings, pageants, and special events in his village. At 17, he enrolled at Madame Francois’s School of Fashion in Kingston to refine his talent. In 1995, he received an Emmy for his hairstyling work on the CBS mini-series The Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All.
